Oh my god hello!!!! I am so excited to be writing my first ever blog post!!
I have a little experience with blogs, my mom started one when she was pregnant with me and ended it when I was around 4 and my sister was 2. She ended up turning it into two books that I cherish with my life. I just love reading it so much, seeing how my dad and her prepared for our births, how we were as kids, but also how they were as young people. Anyways!
My grandma also used to write a blog when my sister and I were visiting her and my grandpa. She would write every night about the things we did during the day, and I loved those moments. I remember insisting to help her write the blog posts, even though I couldn't really write.

After spending years losing myself to endless hours of scrolling on Instagram, Tiktok, or Twitter, I decided to finally end this nightmare and reclaim the world wide web for myself. My process started with Toyhouse. As an OC artist, I had been looking for a place to store and share my OCs for a LONG TIME. Then one day, a friend showed me Toyhouse and it clicked. I loved the amount of personalisation that I could bring, with only... Wait, I don't know HTML...

I had previous notions of Python, aquired in school, which definitely made learning the bases of HTML easier. I started learning it with Mimo, some kind of coding Duolingo, and it went GREAT. But the issue was: I was way too intimidated to make something of my newfound knowledge. So for like 6 months I didn't do anything. I used other people's templates but kept hoping that one day I too would find the inspiration and courage to create something myself! It's only recently, less than a week ago actually, that I've heard of the indie web. I've looked at Neocities, Nekoweb... I'm still not set on which of those two will have the priviledge of hosting my amazing website (whoop whoop) but learning about this amazing movement really gave me the strength I lacked to create my own personal website. I'm still very new to coding as it hasn't even been a year since I've started but I'm REALLY loving it so far. I don't know exactly what this site will be for. I know that I want to express myself, show my art, write about my OCs and all that jazz, but nothing is set in stone. I guess we'll see!

Welp, that's it for me, thanks for reading my first blog post. I'll be back soon!
